Hagland’s financial investments include portfolio management and direct investments in selected projects.
We base our investment decisions on financial criteria such as risk, return, and liquidity. At the same time, we prefer companies that are financially sound and have a business model we can understand. Our portfolio investments are mainly equity investments in listed companies.
For our direct investments, we typically look for projects related to our other business areas (shipping / oil services / real estate). Investment opportunities that originate from local ideas excite us – although financial criteria must also be met. Current projects involve investments in equity, debt and mezzanine capital. Our stake in direct investments is commonly relatively bigger and involves more active ownership.
Hagland Invest’s financial investments are done through various entities, depending on the nature of the investment.
