2016-11-29

Hagland Shipping has been awarded a long term contract with NorStone AS, part of HeidelbergCement Group, for the transport of stone and gravel from NorStone’s production facilities in southern Norway to various clients along the Norwegian coast. The contract will be serviced by Hagland Shipping’s self-discharging bulk vesssels. Contract start is January 1st, 2017.

“Hagland Shipping is very pleased to have been awarded this contract in competition with other shipping companies. The contract represents a substantial strengthening of our position in the self-discharger segment and is a foundation for further expansion,” says owners Arne and Knut W. Aanensen.

Hagland Shipping operates 11 self-discharging bulk vessels engaged in short-sea trade in Northern Europe, with an annual transported volume of approximately 3.3 million tons of bulk goods such as timber, woodchips, stone products, grain, waste, etc.
